Theresian Military Academy

Once part of the Wiener Neustadt castle and residence of Emperor Frederick III and his son Emperor Maximilian I, the academy was instrumental in the emergence of the city. Today it is known as the oldest military academy in the world, founded by Maria Theresia. Since the 18th century through to the present today, it offers modern leadership and officer training. Neukloster Monastery

Small Hydro Plant Ungarfeld

The tourist-accessible power station was opened in 1917 and is located at the source of the Wiener Neustadt canal. The former harbour is now a park, enticing guests to stay a little longer. Take a journey back in time and learn about the generation of hydroelectric power: from the original generator through to the Francis turbine.
